Welcome to another year in sport at St Aloysius College. It has been an extremely busy start to the year to get sport underway, including Thursday sport, CCC representative trials and having our swimming carnival. For future reference, please follow the links that provide further information within Sydney and NSW:

Sport is well and truly underway with many students representing the school in grade sports each week across various venues and playing with tremendous heart and spirit. We have the following teams competing:
With over 100 students representing the school on a weekly basis, this equates to approximately 40% of our year 7 & 11 students choosing grade sport. A special mention to all our junior teams who are competing against teams of year 7 & 8, always competing against students older than themselves. These teams are being competitive each week and will grow from this experience and be better for it throughout this year and next year.
Congratulations to the following students for their efforts thus far being selected for CCC or competing in Sydney wide competitions:
The College’s first swimming carnival in a very long time was held at Caringbah Leisure Centre on Friday, 23 February. On one of the hottest days of the year, students arrived at the pool and were keen to cool off in the many races offered. With a full program to get through, the racing was fast with some free swims throughout the day to cool off.
Congratulations to all students who participated on the day, and those who qualified for Conference 3, which will be held at Sydney Olympic Aquatic Centre on Monday, 4 March. The following students are recognised for being crowned age champions:
It was great to see the Year 12 students dress up, have fun and make special memories that will last a lifetime.
The carnival doesn’t run without the efforts of staff and students. On the day, we had a number of year 7 students willing to assist and run the marshal sheets up and down the pool deck. If we didn’t have the following students helping on the day, the day would not have run so smoothly. A big thanks to the following students for all your help:
One of the highlights on the day was the singing of the ‘house chants’ and witnessing all students come together, regardless of age and yell their multiple chants at the top of their lungs.
Through the holidays and through the start of Term I, we have had many students achieving success outside of the school, pursuing their sporting endeavours. Congratulations to the following students in their respective sports:
Feel free to contact me or the school if your child succeeds out of school competition.
Yours in sport
