NAPLAN 2024

Each year the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is undertaken by students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. Students will participate in tests for writing, reading, conventions of language (spelling, grammar and punctuation) and numeracy.

NAPLAN 2024 will take place from Wednesday, 13 March.

  • 13 March - Writing
  • 14 March - Reading and Language Conventions
  • 15 March - Numeracy

NAPLAN is just one part of our school learning assessment program. The tests assess literacy and numeracy skills your child is already learning at school.

In preparation for NAPLAN, our school will undertake activities to help students become familiar with the format and functionality of the online tests. These activities are not an assessment of student ability and will not be marked. Excessive preparation for NAPLAN is not required nor recommended.

THRIVE MENTORING PROGRAM

Year 11 and 12 have both commenced the THRIVE program. Both were introduced to the BEYOND website which is a careers platform designed to assist students to plan their post school options. This platform is a one stop shop with information regarding:

  • Careers advice and resources
  • Scholarship Information
  • University Open days
  • ATAR calculator
  • Goal Setting questionnaires and templates

UPCOMING ASSESSMENT TASKS

Year 11 and 12 will start receiving notifications for their upcoming assessment tasks. I encourage students to please pop in and see me if they need assistance with a Study Plan.
