Lunar New Year Celebration 2024

On Thursday, February 15th, our International students invited the entire school to join in celebrating Lunar New Year. During the celebration, Mr. Pritchard extended warm New Year wishes to all students and presented them with red envelopes. This gesture holds deep significance, symbolising well-wishes and prosperity during the Lunar New Year festivities. Our international students also created posters that explored the customs associated with Lunar New Year, sharing their own personal experiences of the festival. We are very proud of their dedication and grateful for the opportunity to gain insights from their diverse perspectives. Furthermore, Byron Z., Hailey L., Sophie L., Terry Y. and Yunhong C. taught students and teachers the art of Chinese and Vietnamese calligraphy. Calligraphy, often referred to as "beautiful writing," is an ancient art form dating back to 1600 B.C.E.

We thank our international students for generously sharing their culture and traditions with us, and for organising such a splendid celebration. A special thank you to everyone who participated in making this event memorable. We look forward to continuing to learn from and celebrate the diversity of our school community.
