Facilities Update
First Nations mural
Last week we welcomed Scott Rathman from Rusted Tin Contemporary Aboriginal Art who had worked with our children in Rooms 10, 12 and 14 to design the art for our yarning circle, which is a special place in our school. The design represents the coming together at this gathering space. The area looks wonderful and inviting, with our Peace Pole and native hibiscus plants in the background.
Earlier this week our students in Rooms 9 and 11 engaged in a workshop with Scott to develop ideas for our First Nations mural on our school building. Thank you for your responses - which were all in favour of developing a First Nations mural on our school building and outside toilets. We are looking forward to seeing the work Scott did with our students and the artwork based on our school values.
Welcome to our school
Last week we had our new Welcome Sign installed in our garden at the front of the school. It provides a warm welcoming feel to our school and OSHC for our families and community. Thank you to Signarama for their work in designing our sign.
These updates continue to represent our dedication to providing an exceptional learning environment for every student. We look forward to the positive impact these improvements will have on the overall school experience, fostering a sense of pride, connection and belonging among our students and our families.
