Indonesian News

Selamat Datang (welcome) di Indonesian newsletter report!

We have been very focused on finishing our school signs. You’ll start to see more and more of those around the school. Hopefully everyone is seeing the SELAMAT DATANG sign right on the front gate at our main entrance.

If anyone sees Mrs. Stein-Reeves around the school, make sure you greet her with a nice big “SELAMAT DATANG!” (welcome) so she feels very special. She has been doing a great job testing our skills this week by asking students what the Indonesian signs really mean! SO, make sure you’re all looking at the signs and practising the words in case tricky staff ask you what they mean! Come on friends, make Mrs. Tulloch look good!! 😉

Foundation students did another week of colour names and next week we will start learning all about numbers in Bahasa Indonesia! We will find out how old we are and try to remember our own special number. Lots of counting games and a new counting song will be happening too! Grades one and two students will practise counting as well, building on all their Indonesian number names work from past years.

Sadly, with work on the Telstra towers in Macedon, Mrs. Tulloch couldn’t scrape together enough wifi to download the fabulous photos of Indonesian hijinks this week so you’ll have to take my word for it!

Sampai jumpa lagi! (See you again!).

Cepat Kembali!!! (Hurry back!).
