Benedicta Win the Swimming Carnival Again... 7 in a Row

The school carnival was a resounding success, filled with exhilarating moments and remarkable displays of talent in the pool. Our age champions who demonstrated outstanding skill and determination in their respective categories shone throughout the night. Stella Flinn soared to victory in the 12-year-old girls' division, while Chloe Simmonds and Archer Nimmo showcased their prowess among the 13-year-olds. Mia Cecchini and Andre Labara shone brightly as the champions of the 14-year-old category, while Sophie Heckendorf and Xavier Jones displayed their exceptional abilities in the 15-year-old boys' division. Olivia Cecchini and William Gaskin excelled among the 16-year-olds, while Addison Pope and Jack Piggot emerged as the senior champions.

Adding to the excitement of the carnival were the nine new records set by our talented athletes. Andre Labara's phenomenal achievement of breaking five records, bringing his total to an astonishing ten, is truly commendable, especially considering he is only in Year 8. Addison Pope's three new records and Xavier Jones's contribution further underscored the exceptional talent present among our student athletes, setting a high standard for future competitors to strive for.

The carnival also featured the eagerly anticipated Year 12 Synchronized Swimming House Challenge, with Gandhi House emerging as the well-deserved winners. This event, known for its blend of creativity and teamwork, added a delightful touch of fun and camaraderie to the carnival atmosphere. The spirited participation from all houses contributed to the overall success of the event, highlighting the strong sense of community and sportsmanship that defines our school.
