Prayer
O almighty and eternal God, grant us an increase of Faith, Hope and Charity,
May we obtain what you have promised and make us love and practise what you command,
We ask this prayer through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Kildare Catholic College has been a hive of activity since the commencement of the School Year. On Wednesday 28th of February our chaplain Fr. Sean Byrnes celebrated the Mt. Erin Boarding School Mass; together with the boarding staff, Mater Dei Catholic College students and staff representatives, as well as Kildare Catholic College staff and students.
On the 29th of February Bishop Mark Edwards OMI and Fr Sean Byrnes celebrated our commencement Mass at Kildare Catholic College. The SRC members actively participated in various ways during the procession, Liturgy of the Word and prayers of the faithful. Thanks to Mel Hale, the year 11 music students inspiringly contributed through music and singing. This solemn occasion was shared with all the staff and students, as well as special guests including; Sr Judith Baz, Sr Kaye Bryan, Sr Colleen Maloney and Dr. Joe McGirr MP.
The students and staff rose to the occasion and displayed admirable reverence during the Mass, which was in turn, commented on by both Celebrants and visiting guests. We hope that these events continue to serve as channels of grace for all participating members of our school community and help us in our mission to spread the Good News.
Our Principal Chris Browne has been actively promoting our Lenten alms giving initiative to support Caritas in their charitable outreach to those that do not enjoy our standard of living. We have implemented “round up” donations at our Canteen and Cafe, as well as donations through our Homegroups. Please encourage each other to give to those in need during this time of Lent and support our Project Compassion giving.
Kind Regards
Ondre Nejman | Leader Of Mission & Faith Formation.
