We are excited to inform you about an important process happening at our school on the 14 & 15 of May an IB PYP Evaluation. The IB PYP (International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme) Evaluation is a thorough assessment of our school's teaching practices, curriculum, and overall educational experience for your child.

During this evaluation, trained experts will review various aspects of our school, including how we implement the IB PYP curriculum, the effectiveness of teaching methods, the learning environment, and how well our students are progressing academically and personally.

The goal of the evaluation is to ensure that we are providing the highest quality education for your child, aligned with the IB PYP standards and principles. It's an opportunity for us to reflect on our strengths and areas for improvement, ultimately enhancing the educational journey for all our students.

We will keep you informed throughout the evaluation process and welcome your feedback and support. Together, we are committed to fostering a stimulating and nurturing learning environment for every child at our school.

Thank you for your continued partnership in your child's education.

In addition, I would like to introduce you to our school's mission, vision and purpose.

Mission statement

Our mission is for all students to be part of a diverse community-minded school dedicated to lifelong learning, helping students achieve their personal best.

Vision statement

We will achieve this by enabling our students to be:

  • Active inquirers in the local and broader community
  • Reflective thinkers who are socially, environmentally and digitally aware
  • Proud of their own and others growth and success

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to enable students to become lifelong learners and to assist them with the necessary academic, social and emotional skills for them to become responsible citizens in a rapidly changing world.

Our school promotes academic excellence; nurturing each student’s talents while developing community-minded individuals who embrace diversity and are respectful of each other and themselves.

Our Learner Profile for this week is Knowledgeable:

Activities for parents

● Encourage your child to read books at home that correspond to the topics being covered in school. In particular, books in their mother tongue will help them make more meaningful, lasting connections to what is being taught in their classroom in English.

● Ask your child about what they are learning in school and engage them in conversations about it: “Why do you think that is an important thing to know about?” “Can you think of anything happening in the world today that might be similar to that aspect of History?”

● Encourage your child to become familiar with current events and to read the newspaper and watch the news when appropriate
