Celebrating our learning
Foundation
Grade 1
The wonderful Year 1's have had a great start to Term 1! The students have been learning about classroom expectations within the classroom and showing that they are ready to learn. With our schools new implementation of the berry street education program, students have been engaging in morning circle, positive primers and reflecting on what worked well for students. This has began to make a change in students confidence and social skills.
The Grade 1's have also started learning their new sounds as part of our Little Learners Love Literacy program. Students have enjoyed learning about the "ai/ay" and "ee/ea" sound. Well done Grade 1's!

Physical Education - District Swimming
On Tuesday 27th February the BFPS District Swimming Team headed down to the Pines Aquatic Centre to compete against schools from across our local area. All students represented our school so amazingly well and overall we came 6th out of the competing schools for 2024.
Some results that deserve a special mention include: Jasmine who finished 2nd in the 12-13 girls 50m Freestyle (she qualifies for the division swimming carnival on 12th March at YAWA Rosebud);Jasmine who finished 1st in the 12-13 girls 50m Butterfly (she qualifies for the division swimming carnival on 12th March at YAWA Rosebud);Georgia who finished 4th in the 11 girls 50m Backstroke;12-13 girls medley relay team (Georgia, Bella, Jasmine and Sophie) finishing 3rd in their race; and12-13 girls freestyle relay team (Georgia, Bella, Jasmine and Morgan) finishing 3rd in their race. Again well done to everyone on an amazing day in the pool. I will ensure swimming trials are ran in Term 4 2024 for interested students from grades 3-5 who wish to try out for the 2025 district team so we can try to do even better next year!
Special thanks to Lee for assisting on the day and the parents for ensuring all students were ready for our bus at 9am.
Thanks Mr Wiz 😊
