                                        Year 4 Urban Gardening

The Year 4 students have had a busy time in our vegetable garden this term. The students work in groups and they have been harvesting potatoes and tomatoes. Each week the students have a different job to do, they plant, weed, mulch, shred, water and compost. From next term the students will write the monthly article for the newsletter.

                                     Our Melbourne Flower and Garden Show Scarecrow

The Year 4 students worked together over a few weeks to make a sustainable scarecrow for a competition at the Melbourne Flower and Garden Show. There were 36 scarecrows in the competition, unfortunately we didn't win a prize. The theme was Reuse and Recycle and the students brought in all the materials from home to build the scarecrow and the students named him Black Rock Bob. You can find Bob in our veggie garden.
