Kindergarten

Kinder have had a great start to our first few weeks of school ever! 

We have begun talking about our families as part of our "I belong" unit, noting similarities and differences. Mrs Lange shared a photo of her family, prompting us to compare it with our own. Following this discussion, we crafted paper artworks of our household members, paying close attention to their favourite colours and distinctive features.

An exploratory school tour allowed the children to visit various classrooms, providing them with an opportunity to sit at grade 5/6 desks and play on the playground designated for older children.

We are learning how to hold a pencil by drawing basic shapes such as circles and lines. We learned that these shapes are fundamental to writing letters, as demonstrated through drawing a ladybug.

The vegetable curry,  lamb cous cous and cheese burgers have been particularly well-received at the Little Dove Cafe, with many children enthusiastically having multiple servings.
