Lent - a time for thought and reflection

Schools are very busy places, especially at the beginning of the year. 2024 saw the beginning of Lent come upon us very quickly. 

Here at John Paul II Catholic School we have spent the first few weeks of Lent spending time in thought and reflection.We have been thinking about ways we can be more prayerful, to ponder what is important to us in our relationships with each other and to envisage ways we can support those in our world who aren't as fortunate as ourselves. 

In the coming weeks we will be doing some activities that involve raising awareness of the plight of those less fortunate in other countries. We will also be raising money for Project Compassion, the fundraising side of Caritas Australia. Check your Compass notifications and our socials next week to see how your family can make a contribution to this fantastic organisation and its good works.
