Physical Education - P.E.

This term the students have been enjoying tennis coaching from Jordan through the ‘Sporting Schools’ program.  Our courts have been adorned with 6 small nets for maximum participation. Jordan has provided some excellent activities and ideas for progressing through a range of tennis skills and play. It has been rewarding to see some of our students enjoying it so much that they have been playing at lunch time too. With four weeks in total of lessons from Jordan, this will hopefully inspire all of our students to watch, play, understand and/or learn more about this popular sport.

Last week was our year 3-6 school swimming carnival. The participation was outstanding. The stands were vacant for the majority of the day. Everyone was out and having a go. The novelty races were a lot of fun and were much loved by our competitive and not so competitive swimmers alike. I would like to congratulate all of our year 3-6 students on their efforts at the swimming carnival. Our swimming team to represent the school will be announced soon. The Inter-school Swimming carnival is on the 5th April.

Thank you students, teachers, teacher assistants and parents for making this year’s carnival so enjoyable and such a success.
