Safety, Respect and Learning
At St Thomas the Apostle, child safety is a fundamental priority. We are committed to creating a culture where every student feels safe, respected and listened to, and where child safety is embedded in everything we do.
As part of this commitment, we have Child Safe Champions who help lead and support our community in upholding the Victorian Child Safe Standards. This means they help ensure our policies, practices and everyday actions place the safety and wellbeing of children at the centre of our work.
Our Child Safe Champions are:
Families are encouraged to contact us if you have any concerns, questions or suggestions about child safety at our school. No concern is too small, and we are here to support you and your child.
All staff at our school also complete ongoing professional development in maintaining a child safe environment, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and can act appropriately to keep children safe, every day.
