Gospel Reading
Luke 9:28-36
Jesus is transfigured on the mountain in the presence of Peter, James, and John.
Why do you think Jesus chose to reveal his glory to Peter, James, and John on the mountain, and what might this moment have meant for their faith?
How can you be a good friend to Jesus, like Peter, James, and John were?
How do you show your faith in your everyday life—at school, home, or with friends?
On Monday, 4th August, our Social Justice Leaders encouraged students from Years 3–6 to join the Mini Vinnies program to make a difference by supporting others in need and standing up for justice and compassion. As one of the leaders shared, “Even small acts of kindness can make a big impact.” Many students showed interest in joining and we are proud to see their commitment to living out our school values in meaningful ways.
Together, we're about to spark change! Stay tuned as we take meaningful steps to build a kinder, fairer community—starting right here at our school.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the students preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation who were presented to the Church community at Mass on the 27th of July. Your presence, reverence, and participation were deeply appreciated.
Thank you also to the parents, carers, and families who supported the children by attending this special celebration. Your ongoing encouragement and faith-filled guidance play a vital role in your child’s spiritual journey.
We continue to keep all our Confirmation candidates in our prayers.
Our 1T students start their day with calm, focus, and gratitude as they gather for a peaceful moment of prayer. These special times help them feel connected, reflect on their blessings, and prepare their hearts and minds for learning and kindness throughout the day.
Walking in the footsteps of Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop – inspired to never see a need without doing something about it
As a school community, we participated in Mass to celebrate the feast day of our own saint, Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop. It was a special time to reflect on her life, her faith, and her dedication to helping others.
