National Tree Planting Day

OLSS Celebrates National Tree Day with 490 New Plants!

On Friday, OLSS students, staff, parents, grandparents, and special guests came together to celebrate our eighth Schools National Tree Day event. Thankfully, the rain held off, and the community spirit was in full bloom as an incredible 490 indigenous plants were added to our school grounds!

The planting included a variety of native species such as correas, wattles, poa grasses, and melaleucas—all chosen to beautifully complement and enrich our natural environment.

A heartfelt thank you goes to James and the team at Phillip Island Nature Parks Bushbank for their continued support and generous contribution.

And finally, a massive thank you to every participant—your enthusiasm and effort made this day a true success. Together, we’ve made a lasting impact for future generations to enjoy. 🌿🌳
