Black and Green Aggregate Shield

Last Saturday, as part of our time-honoured tradition, we proudly kicked off the Winter season by facing off against our archrivals, Trinity Grammar, in a thrilling contest across Football, Rugby, and Tennis for the coveted Black and Green Aggregate Shield. After some very close contests, I am proud to say that St Patrick’s College have won the Shield for 2025 and it is back on our soil!

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the staff, students, and families for their incredible efforts on Saturday. It was a truly fantastic day, and such an experience wouldn’t have been possible without the support and dedication of everyone involved.

Football Tour

As the tour group embarks on their journey to the UK and Spain, we wish them a safe and unforgettable experience. May you represent the College with pride and play the St Patrick's way in every fixture. Best of luck to the team.

ASRU Rugby Luncheon

Last Friday afternoon, St Patrick's College were invited to the Annual Australian Schools Rugby Union Luncheon at the Four Seasons Hotel. Together with coaches Mr Boggs, Mr Mullen, Mr Maafu, Mr Fox, and Mr Tatola, four of our students - Dominic Whelan, Charlie Gray, Jack Taylor, and James Kelly were also asked to represent the College in assisting with several responsibilities throughout the day. They did a fantastic job helping with setting up, selling raffle tickets and ensuring the SPC Crest was visible for all to see. It was an eventful afternoon with guest speaker Ricky Stuart, a member of the Touring Australian Schoolboys 1985 team who went through Europe undefeated in 15 matches, giving us an insight to his experiences in the Gold Schoolboys Jersey. An afternoon filled with laughs, full bellies and smiles all around.

A huge thank you to Br Bob Wallace for his continued support of the College and Rugby Program here at St Patrick's College.

Wishing everyone in the SPC Community a fantastic Easter and well-deserved break.

Black and Green Fixtures

The sun was shining and finally the opportunity to play some rugby was here. With great excitement, our teams took to their respective fields to take on our neighbouring rivals, Trinity. It was a great start to the year with 9 out of 13 wins and with plenty of areas to improve, we will continue to work hard and to get better. Thank you to the Junior School staff and students who created a great atmosphere for the First and Second XV fixtures! We are proud to have played our part in regaining the Black and Green Shield to its rightful home.
