Polding Tennis

We wish Tom Ditchfield all the very best this week as he represents the Polding Tennis team (All NSW Catholic Schools north of the harbour bridge) and attends PSSA Tennis in Bathurst. Ace it Tom!

SAVE the DATE

Our classes are getting ready for the Athletics Carnival and refining their skills with track and field events. Our Athletics Carnival will be held on: Thursday 26 June, 2025. This will be for Year 2 students turning 8 this year and all 3 - 6.

Upcoming Sporting Events:

Touch Football Trials

Last week touch football trials were held. On Friday 16 May students will head to Glen Innes to be part of these teams. Today notes have been sent to those selected students. Please ensure permission is completed in Compass.

We wish them all well.

Rugby Union

Trials will commence next week for the Diocesan Rugby Union Trials and Gary McSweeney Rugby Gala Day will be held on Friday, 30 May 2025, in Tamworth.

To trial for this students MUST have permission to tackle which can be completed via Compass.

This is a team knockout competition and the students are also eligible as individuals to be chosen for the Armidale Diocesan side.

After the day, an Armidale Diocesan Rugby Side will be selected to participate in the NSWCPS Rugby Union Championships in Forbes on Sunday, 29 June - Monday, 30 June 2025.  It is our diocesan policy that individual children selected to represent the Armidale Diocese must be available to represent Polding at the relevant NSWPSSA Championship if selected.

All MALE players will be eligible to be selected for the Armidale Diocesan Rugby Team. Female players are not eligible to be selected this year due to the separate pathway provided for the Rugby 7's. Female players are, however, permitted in full school teams to progress through to the Chris Gangemi Cup.

THANK YOU

We thank our staff members who take time out of their day to conduct trials and ensure a fair opportunity for all. We also thank our many parent volunteers who have offered to coach teams and support our sport pathways.

We appreciate and value your time and expertise to provide opportunities for the students at Holy Trinity School across a range of sports.
