Our Seussical Jr is taking shape and the energy is building for our annual production under the guidance of Director and parent Gavin D Andrew. Thanks to the incredible Parent Production team who continue to invest so much time, heart and expertise to supporting our students to shine in such a professional performance. We can't wait to share it with our family, friends, neighbours, local retirement residents, kinder kids, footy/soccer/netball and other club contacts in our community. Think about who you could invite and get your tickets NOW!

Seussical t-shirts can now be worn on both TUESDAYS and FRIDAYS which are both rehearsal days. This helps kids remember to come to theatre at lunchtime for rehearsals, as well as promoting the show ;) Normal school uniform still applies outside of the t-shirt.
Next Tuesday 6 May, all P-6 students will join together for a fun Dance incursion - thanks Grade 6 School Captains and Miss Black for 'winning' that experience for us at a Term 1 Leadership day. The beat will definitely be in our feet (and walls of the theatre perhaps!) for the finale session with all of us together.
This term the instruments are out again and we are embracing listening, responding and making music together across the school. This includes the "Annual ACPS' got Talent" show in classtime on 22 and 22 May and some SQUILT (Super Quiet Uninterrupted Listening Time) sessions where students visualise a scene as they listen to an instrumental piece.
In addition:
Prep, One and Two students will be learning about different instruments, beat, rhythm and the importance of listening as we play.
Grade 3 and 4s will be learning to play the ukulele and enjoying group jam sessions together.
Grade 5 and 6 students will be creating their own music themed project with a quiz to challenge each other at the end.
I'm looking forward to another memorable term together. Remember to book your Seussical tickets!
