Year 11
'Small Steps, Big Results'
We are proud to report of some recent highlights and foreshadow some upcoming events that relate to our year 11 students. Before doing so we would like to take a moment to celebrate the incredible commitment our students are showing in their dance practices for the upcoming Presentation Ball. Those enrolled continue to impress with their dedication and coordination.
Please see below a voice from our very own Natalia Milanovic who has this to report about their experience with the preparation for the ball so far.
“Ever since I was little, I've always wanted to be a debutante and this year I got the opportunity to become one. Deb traditionally is a pivotal moment in a young woman's adolescence, where she is 'presented' to society. The experience is not just about the ceremony; it’s a joyful occasion filled with so much fun. There’s the thrill of dancing with my partner, mingling with friends and family, receiving thoughtful gifts, and enjoying a gourmet meal together. It’s also an opportunity to celebrate time-honoured traditions that have been passed down through generations. And of course, there’s the fashion – everyone gets to admire the stunning gowns, tuxedos and accessories; making the night even more magical. Even if you’re not planning to be a debutante yourself, attending as a guest is equally delightful. From the socialising to the grand atmosphere and heartfelt moments, it’s an experience that will leave you with cherished memories. Whether you’re a debutante or a guest, it’s an event that’s full of joy, excitement, and tradition.”

Year 11 Voices
Our year 11 students have had an exciting Term 1. To reflect this, we have captured the voice from a few of our students to communicate what school currently looks like.
Statements from:
Jemma Breasley
“The first term of year 11 has been such an amazing experience so far. As a grade we all went to Federation University where we got to hear from university students about their experiences and how fun university life is. We learned about how to deal with stress, received tips for English and we learned how to study properly. It was an amazing experience to start the year learning things that could help us throughout our last two years at school. I have also seen my peers excitement about being a Debutante and the dance classes that are happening. My friends participating in the Presentation Ball are having such a great time and can’t wait till the night comes. This year has been so fun so far and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year holds.”
Riley Mollison
Hi Berwick College, I am Riley Mollison one of the year 11 leaders. Lately in Vocational Major we’ve been completing multiple assessment tasks, among other things. Most notably being the Berwick liveability walk assessing Berwick main street and the key places needed for the public. Thank you to Mr Cliff for taking us. Good luck to all students with their SACs and CATs within these last few weeks of school.
