From the Principal

Harmony Day
Congratulations to the staff, students, and parents for your enthusiastic participation in this year’s Harmony Day celebrations. It was one of the best Harmony Days we have had at Athol Road Primary School. It was wonderful to see everyone embracing the spirit of the day by wearing orange or cultural dress and actively engaging in the various activities. A special highlight was the whole school assembly, where we had a vibrant parade of multicultural outfits, beautifully reflecting the rich diversity within our school community. A big thank you to our Student Leaders for leading the special assembly and to Student Voice Council for sharing the Harmony Day activities that took place across all learning spaces. Your enthusiasm and participation made this event a memorable celebration. See page 3 for pictures of our special day.

Finally, as we wrap up Term 1, I want to thank our entire school community – thank you everyone for your support throughout the term. We've achieved many positive outcomes and we should take a moment and be proud of the work we do every day, as educators, parents, staff members and students! I would like to give special recognition to our Foundation students for completing their first term at primary school. It’s been a time of adjusting to new routines, building friendships, and developing new skills. Well done Foundation!
As we head into the school holidays, I encourage you to continue supporting your children's learning by keeping up with reading at home during the 2 week break. Also, please be mindful of the time your child spends online and ensure the content they access is age appropriate.
Term 1 ends tomorrow, Friday 4th April at 2.30pm.
Term 2 commences, Tuesday 22nd April at 8.50am.
Wishing you all a wonderful and restful school holiday! May you enjoy quality time with your families and friends, doing the things you love and cherish.
