Student Engagement

At Keysborough College, we are committed to fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. As part of this commitment, we are excited to inform you that we will be introducing the School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support Framework to the College.

The School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) Framework is an evidence-based framework designed to support positive behaviour, enhance student wellbeing, and create a consistent, supportive environment for learning. By clearly defining and teaching expected behaviours, acknowledging positive actions, and providing supportive interventions when needed, SWPBS helps students develop lifelong social and emotional skills.

How Does SWPBS Benefit Students?

  • Builds a positive, respectful school culture

  • Supports social and emotional development

  • Improves student engagement and learning outcomes

  • Reduces problem behaviours and disruptions

The Year Level Leaders from each Campus, along with the two Campus Engagement Leaders and two Campus Engagement Assistant Principals have been involved in Department SWPBS training throughout Term 1. Over the next few months the SWPBS team will be communicating and consulting with the Keysborough College community as we develop and implement a framework that will be unique to our school and encompass our values of Respect, Excellence and Diversity. We’ll celebrate positive behaviours with regular acknowledgments and rewards and continue to promote and reinforce the values we uphold.

We look forward to working together to create a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment for all students. Thank you for your continued support!

Have a safe and restful term break!

Warm Regards
