Community Engagement

School Council - Community Engagement Team

ELECTION BBQ

Thank you to the many volunteers who assisted at the election BBQ and Book/Bakesale on Saturday 3rd May.

This was a highly successful community event which was great for fundraising as well. $1000 will go towards our STEM Program. Mr Lytton will now be able to purchase new upgraded microscopes to compliment his amazing STEM Program for all our students.

Thank you to our School and House Leaders for coming along to help sell cakes and books to our community. This was a great opportunity to further develop your confidence and leadership skills.

Mother's Day Stall

Thank you again to our parent volunteers for setting up and pricing items and for those who helped serve our students. Our School and House Leaders once again stepped up and were terrific in this event. We wouldn’t be able to run activities like this without the great number of special handmade items that were donated for our stall. these were amazing from plants, earrings, macrame' to mention only a few.

I hope you all start to get creative now in creating gifts for Dads, which is later next term.

Working Bee- coming soon......

Our new School Council has set a date for our very first WORKING BEE for 2025. We did not have one in Term 1 and so we are in great need of some extra TLC in our gardens.

These are the items on our Working Bee agenda:

  • weed the carpark garden beds
  • Plant more natives in our Wildlife Garden (we lost about 1/2 of the plants over the summer)
  • Work on weeding and resculpting our Indigenous Garden space and possibly plant more native shrubs/plants.
  • seek some work on our watering system on the oval (if we have volunteers who know something about watering systems)
