Ivanhoe Edge Aspires for Future Champions

During the June/July school holidays, Ivanhoe Grammar School had the privilege of hosting the Australian Opals and Boomers for their Olympic Games Selection Camp at our state-of-the-art Sports and Aquatic Centre. It was an honor to support the Opals and Boomers as they prepared for the Paris Olympics.

Our Ivanhoe Edge basketball students, along with the Girls' and Boys' Firsts teams, had the exciting opportunity to watch and meet the Opals and Boomers, igniting their Olympic dreams and enhancing their training experience.

Ivanhoe Edge strength and conditioning coach Karl Trounson, who also serves as the Physical Performance Coach for the Australian Boomers, facilitated valuable learning opportunities for our team. This allowed them to support and gain insights from some of the best in the sport.

The presence of the Boomers and Opals has inspired our students and deepened our connection to Olympic history. As the Opals and Boomers continue their quest for gold, we encourage students to show their support by wearing a splash of yellow and green to their sessions. Go Opals and Boomers—bring home the gold! 💚💛
