Introduction
All students from Kindergarten to Year 12 must wear The Friends’ School uniform as prescribed for the relevant section of the School. The School Shop, through Midford, is the only authorised retailer of The Friends’ School uniform and stocks the full range of uniform items with suitable formal shoe options.
Every student is different, and the size and fit of garments do vary throughout the range so it is important that new students attend the Shop for a fitting. Appointments are also required for existing families who have a student moving into Year 5 who will need to be fitted for their formal uniform.
Fitting appointments will be offered during peak times, in late Term 4 and in January and are booked and managed online. More information is provided on the following pages of this booklet.

Purpose & Concerns
The Friends’ School is a coeducational Quaker school based on fundamental values such as the intrinsic worth of each person, the recognition of ‘that of God’ in everyone, the desirability of simplicity and the need to establish peace and justice.
As a learning community, we are concerned for the academic, cultural, physical, social and spiritual development of each person in our care.
We seek to help our students develop into men and women who will think clearly, act with integrity, make decisions for themselves, be sensitive to the needs of others and the environment, be strong in service and hold a global perspective.
We believe that these aims can best be achieved with the active support of all members of our School community.
Child Safety Statement
A deep and continuing commitment to child safety is at the very core of The Friends’ School. Respect and concern for each individual in the School’s care is driven by a foundational belief that there is that of God in everyone. This is fundamental to Quakerism and The Friends’ School.
We strive to develop a culture that promotes child safety and the prevention of harm, where all members of the community feel comfortable speaking up. We commit to seeking and listening to the voices of children and cultivating an environment that is nurturing, open and aware.
All forms of abuse and neglect are in opposition to the School’s Purpose and Concerns. The School has an enduring moral and legal obligation to report and act upon any concern counter to the wellbeing of children.
