Principal Update

St Francis, Nathalia is a child safe school.

We promote the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children.

Welcome back

Welcome back to everyone. Hopefully, the holidays allowed you to rest and stay warm! Our students have returned to school full of enthusiasm after the break and have hit the ground running.  It is important that we re-establish routines and expectations early and allow every opportunity for students to flourish.

There’s plenty to look forward to throughout the term including; the CES Arts on Show, Book Week Parade and the Foundation’s 100 days of School Celebrations... to name a few.

Term Three is also a significant part of our enrolment process for 2025, as we hope to finalise our 2025 Foundation Enrolment process.  New and existing families are encouraged to return any enrolment documentation to assist with planning for 2025.  Your assistance with this is appreciated.

REMINDERS:

TERM 3

Monday 5th August is a pupil free day for staff Professional Development.

Automated External Defibrillator (AED) @ St Francis

We have a new automated external defibrillator (AED) in the school administration building.  This portable device can be used to treat a person whose heart has suddenly stopped working.  Signage will be displayed externally to alert any member in the community of its location, with staff trained in its use.

Principal Appraisal

Dear Parents and Carers,

Principal Appraisal – Matt Knight, St. Francis’ Primary School Nathalia

As a part of the contract of Employment, each Principal of a Catholic school in the Diocese of Sandhurst must undertake an appraisal.

The purpose of an appraisal is to provide the Principal with feedback about their leadership of the school.  An appraisal also seeks to improve the professional practice of the Principal through structured dialogue with CES Ltd staff and the appraisal panel, and through feedback about leadership of specific areas of school life.

I invite you to contribute your thoughts about Matt Knight's leadership at St. Francis’, by undertaking a survey. Please click on the link via PAM to complete the survey.  At the end of the appraisal process, the Principal will receive a detailed report about the information gleaned from the process and this will support them in shaping their professional goals and practice for the future.

Please note: Your contribution will remain anonymous, and all survey feedback will be confidential.

I thank you for your contributions to this survey and ongoing support to St. Francis’ Primary School Nathalia.

Yours sincerely,

Paul Bissinella

Principal Consultant - Goulburn Valley Deanery
