Loose Parts
Our Early Years students are excited to have a range of new loose parts to play with at recess and lunch.
Loose Parts Play is a concept that involves providing children with non-traditional (but playable) items, encouraging them to use their creativity and imagination to have fun and learn. Children are able to play freely with everyday materials that can be moved, carried, combined, taken apart, and reassembled in countless ways.
This type of play promotes risk-taking, sharing, problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, exploration, and experimentation. Thank you to the families who have donated a range of loose part objects, including material, old keys, bolts, Christmas decorations, ribbon spools and more.
The children are so excited to play with them!
