Kindy Bilbies
With the transition to a four-day week, our Kindy students have been embracing new and exciting learning experiences. One of the highlights was their very first visit to the school library! The children were thrilled to explore the space, listen to a shared story, and borrow a book to take home—sparking a love of reading from the very beginning.
They also enjoyed their first sport lesson, where they practised important skills like lining up and running in preparation for our upcoming Kindy Sports Carnival later this term. It’s been a joy to see their enthusiasm and growing confidence as they engage in these new opportunities.
Kindy Rosellas
Our Kindy kids have returned to the new term with great excitement as we move to our four-day program. On a Friday we get to experience the joy of visiting the library, and in week 1 of this term we had our first visit! It is a wonderful opportunity for our young learners to explore the world of books, and we have so many to choose from! The children learn about how to take care of the books, use quiet voices in a shared space and discover the joy of choosing their own stories to borrow and take home. These trips to the library are a wonderful opportunity for our youngest learners to develop a love for reading.

Year 5 Bandicoots and Dingoes
We have started Term Three by exploring the power of using a growth mindset. We talked about how adding the word 'yet' when we talk about our challenges can help us feel more confident when things seem tricky. For example, saying "I can't write this, yet!" To help us stay focused, we each created a 'goal yeti' with personal and academic goals for the term. We look forward to working towards these goals over the next few weeks.
In Maths, we’ve been learning all about radial and rotational symmetry. To show our understanding, we enjoyed creating bright and detailed mandala artworks that reflect these patterns.
In Literacy, we’ve kicked off a new Writing unit all about information texts. We designed our own dream islands and became travel agents, writing about the exciting features our islands have to offer!
As Year Fives, we call ourselves ‘Leaders in Training.' We’ve been focusing on the value of integrity, learning to encourage others to do the right thing even when no one is watching! We are learning what it means to be a positive role model in our classroom and beyond.
