What's on in the Community Hub?

'St. Anthony’s Community Hub provides access to services that help families support their children.'

What’s on in the Hub?

Every Monday until the end of the year (during the school term), St Anthony’s will be delivering a program called Parent Child Mother Goose. This Program is for preschool children. The group meets with two facilitators (including Debbie). Together, parents and children in the program:

  • experience the spark of delight and magic that comes from enjoying a favourite song or rhyme
  • learn rhymes, songs and stories
  • enjoy strengthened bonding.

If you have a preschooler and would like to come to the Parent Child Mother Goose Program it is on every Monday morning 10am-11am at St Anthony’s School Playgroup during the school terms.

This is a free program and finishes with morning tea.

Visit from Monash Health Speech Patholigist and Occupational Therapist

This term we had a visit from Monash Health Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists to our Playgroup

Parents were able to talk about any concerns and the Monash Health staff spoke about their roles and how they can support families with preschool aged children.

They will be visiting again in Term 3.

More details to follow.

Let’s Read

Debbie is a trained facilitator of the Let’s Read Program and this term The Smith Family once again provided our playgroup with many books to deliver the program in our playgroup. Let’s Read is a national, evidence based early literacy program that promotes reading with children aged birth to five years.

See you all in Term 3.
