Level Five

On the 23rd of June, the Level Five students held a Learning Expo to share their research projects for Term Two. Each student had been given a figure from Australian History between 1778 and 1901. They completed their research and then wrote a biography, created an infographic, and made a diorama along with their peers. Question cards were made so that the visitors had guidance about what they could ask these important historical figures.
Student Voice
Mary 5K - The Level Five Learning Expo was great! We enjoyed making diorama's with our group and learned a lot about our historical person. I enjoyed working with my classmates and am excited to see the grade fours do this next year!
Laith 5P: My favourite part of our Learning Expo was when people asked me about my character, and I answered it really well.
Eva 5P: I loved making the people in my diorama because it was fun to dress them up in their clothes that they wore at the time.
Kirsten 5P: I really liked dressing up for the Learning Expo because it made me get into character.
Giselle 5K - The Learning Expo was an extraordinary moment for grade five, because we had to act like our person - it was definitely a core memory for everyone. It was excellent because instead of listening and doing tasks about history, the teachers were able to help us be well educated, have enthusiasm in our journey of learning, and build our confidence while sharing our presentation. Thank you to the teachers who were able to make this event so successful☺️
Anna 5A - The Learning Expo was an enjoyable event. We made a biography about a historic figure and made a diorama with a partner. We then presented these to the grade 4s and visiting parents.
Liyanna 5A - The Learning Expo was super fun. The best part was when the year four students came and asked us questions. It was really exciting making the dioramas. We also created biographies which helped us learn about colonial Australia.
