Level Four

What an exciting new weeks we have had in Grade 4!

We have just returned from a successful experience at Camp Rumbug! Our students did an outstanding job stepping out of their comfort zone, supporting their peers, being responsible and organised and strengthening friendships. Our students participated in the following activities:

-archery

-climbing

-mud run

-giant swing

-aeroball

-canoeing

-raft building

-team challenge

Here's what some of our students shared about their camp experience.

Dustin - 4E the best part of camp was the mud run because we got to run around and get splashed.

Baran- 4E I liked canoeing because it was fun to be on the water.

Alice- 4J I liked the giant swing because I felt like I was flying.

Krish- 4J my highlight was the mud run because I got to be muddy and it was different. I had fun getting wet.

Barry- 4K. I was proud of myself for trying my best. The food was yummy.

Yurin - 4K. I like the fun activities and I like to stay in the cabin with my friends. Camp helped me to be responsible and I know I can be more brave.

Ella - 4D. I liked how I challenged myself on the giant swing. I liked my cabin group.

Jayden - 4D. I liked all the activities. I liked tree climbing best because it was fun.

Reading - We are currently undertaking a unit on questioning.  Asking questions helps us understand what we are reading.

Writing- Our Year 4 students planned, wrote and delivered an excellent speech to their classmates. We were impressed by the quality of speeches and the way our students were so encouraging of their peers. A special congratulations to Jasmine from 4J who was our Year 4 winner.

Maths- We are currently creating a Conservation Park. Our students are designing the park, calculating the perimeter of each animal enclosure, the total cost of different materials used and ticket price options. We have been impressed by the creativity of each Conservation Park.

Integrated- Our students are currently creating their own website about a biome they have researched. We look forward to sharing these in each grade.

We congratulate our Year 4 students on their successes this term!
