Year 10 Work Experience

Year 10 Work Experience has been a tremendous success, with students enthusiastically embracing the opportunity to explore the world of work and gain a valuable insight into potential career pathways. Across a wide range of industries from healthcare and education to trades and business, our students have demonstrated maturity, adaptability, and curiosity as they stepped into professional settings.

Feedback from employers has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting students’ strong communication skills and willingness to learn. We are incredibly proud of the way our students represented the college and thank all families and host organisations for their support in making this experience so enriching.

A special thanks to our Careers and Pathways Coordinator, Paul Duncan for his oversight of the program, and to Annie Hearne (Head of Year 10) and Jessica Bishop (Year 10 Coordinator) for their invaluable support in the lead-up. We also extend our appreciation to the teaching staff who took the time to visit students during their placement. Their engagement has had a meaningful impact.

Year 11 Central Australia Tour

The Year 11 Central Australia Tour began on June 28. Arriving in Darwin, our students settled in and quickly adapted to the heat and camp life.

Students spent the first few days discovering the unique character of Darwin, including a visit to the Darwin Museum and the Mindil Market. Activities such as swimming at Berry Springs and relaxing at the lagoon have offered welcome breaks from extensive travel days and setup duties.

Beyond these early experiences, the tour has provided students with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of Australia’s rich cultural heritage. The group will continue to visit iconic locations such as Uluru, Kings Canyon, and Alice Springs and engage in immersive learning experiences about our history, and indigenous cultures.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the dedicated staff who are attending the Central Australia Tour. Thank you for making this enriching experience possible for our students.

Year 12 Formal

The Year 12 Formal was a truly special evening, filled with celebration, laughter, and a touch of glamour as students marked a major milestone in their final year of school. Dressed to impress, the class of 2025 came together to enjoy a night of dancing, games and delicious food. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to relax, connect with peers and staff, and create lasting memories as they approach the final stretch of their VCE studies. A huge thank you to Mr Chris Sheehan and Mrs Leisa Beggs for their organisation of the evening and to the student leaders who helped make this event a memorable one.

End of Term

As we wrap up the term, we extend our warmest wishes to all families for a safe and restful winter break. This time offers a valuable opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and recharge before the excitement of the new term begins. Thank you for your continued support and we will see you next term, ready and refreshed for what’s ahead.
