Our Science classes have been buzzing with activity and curiosity, with each year group diving into exciting topics and hands-on learning experiences.

Year 7 have launched into their 'Observing the Universe' topic, discovering what makes Science a unique and important subject. Students have examined the rules and routines that keep everyone safe in the lab, creating colourful safety posters to reinforce these guidelines. They are now becoming confident with science equipment and procedures, reading for exciting experiments like using Bunsen burners to make popcorn!

Year 9 have been hands-on with energy experiments, testing how elastic potential energy transforms into kinetic energy. These investigations help students understand the dynamic ways energy moves and changes form. Next, they'll dive deeper into energy efficiency and tackle challenges around renewable energy.

Year 10 have kicked off their 'React Our World' topic with a focus on atoms and the periodic table. Students have researched different elements and created informative posters to share their findings. Soon, they'll be conducting a variety of chemical reactions including corrosion, combustion and acid-base experiments.
