F1: Dans la ferme à Mathurin (Old MacDonald had a Farm) - Using this classic nursery rhyme as inspiration (in French!), we'll learn to talk about farm animals and the sounds they make, building familiarity with key classroom language and the sounds and rhythms of spoken French.
1-2-3: Le bar à jus (The Juice Bar) - Through stories, songs and role-plays, students will talk about likes and dislikes, say that they’re hungry and thirsty and engage in polite shop exchanges.
4-5-6: Un orangina SVP ! (An Orangina Please!) - Students will watch a video series set in a restaurant and create role-plays to practise interpreting and sharing self-introductions and politely placing an order.
All students will participate in games and activities that help build confidence, coordination, and enjoyment of movement, while also learning how to work with others and stay safe during physical activity.
F/1 - Through fun, play-based sessions, students will be learning to practise and improve fundamental skills such as running, jumping, hopping and balancing. A big focus will be moving safely in different spaces and directions, as well as taking turns, following simple rules, and playing cooperatively.
1/2/3 - Students will focus on refining and combining fundamental motor skills while learning more complex skills that support participation in a variety of games and sports. These include:
5/6 - Students will focus on learning and refining skills used in a range of Summer sports such as volleyball, T-ball, and cricket, including:
Through these activities, students will learn how to work effectively as part of a team, make decisions during game play, and demonstrate fair play, respect, and safety. These skills will be the focus of our upcoming Summer Sports in late March.
