The NPS Way:

Curriculum, Assessment, Reporting

As we begin the school year, I wanted to share a little about what the first few weeks of school have (and will continue to) look like in our classrooms.

We will be focusing heavily on building routines, learning classroom procedures, and establishing clear expectations. This foundation helps students feel safe, confident, and prepared to learn. We will practice things like transitions, listening skills, organisation, and respectful communication so that students know exactly what is expected of them.

While academic learning has been happening, our main goal early on is to create a positive classroom environment where students can be successful both socially and academically.

Taking time now to establish strong routines allows us to move more smoothly into deeper learning as the year progresses. It's an investment of time creating calm, orderly classooms that lay the foundations of the year ahead. 

Predictability of our day= no surprises for our kids.
