Do It For Dolly

Earlier this term we participated in Do It For Dolly Day by fundraising for Dolly’s Dream.

This initiative is in memory of Dolly Everett who took her own life as a result of ongoing bullying. Dolly’s parents, Kate and Tick, founded the organisation with a focus on preventing families from the same experience by providing support services and education to schools, families and youth.

Students were encouraged to wear blue, Dolly’s favourite colour, to promote awareness and start conversations around the impacts of bullying. The day included a gold coin donation for blue mufti, a blue themed cake stall, sausage sizzle and homegroup activities throughout the week to provoke important conversations.

Thanks to the enthusiastic support of our community, we managed to raise over $2000 for Dolly’s Dream, which will go towards providing further free and accessible support for those in need.
