Next Tuesday the 21st of May we are very fortunate to have Mitch Tambo performing. He is one of Australia’s most unique and electrifying First Nations entertainers, hailed as “the new voice of our generation”. Now an international sensation in the World Music scene, his debut album, Guurrama-Li, raced up music charts within Australia, the UK, the US, Europe, Asia, and New Zealand on its release.  He has achieved 10 consecutive number ones on the iTunes Worldwide charts.

He has also been nominated for two Golden Guitar Awards for his work on ‘Come Together’ alongside Lee Kernaghan and Isaiah Firebrace for Vocal Collaboration of the Year and Heritage Song of the Year.

Following this performance, Mitch will be conducting a yarning circle with some students.

Mitch's wife, a proud Melanesian, singer, songwriter, and Refugee will be conducting an engaging workshop, Voice of Lele. She will not only grace us with her amazing voice but also bring a powerful message of diversity, inclusion, and resilience. Lele will be guiding us through a workshop that celebrates the richness of our differences and the strength found in unity!

Miners Rest Primary School are looking forward to experiencing these amazing performers.
