In Music this term Grades 1A and 1B have welcomed Ally, a Music specialist from The Song Room, into their classes.  She has taught some very interesting songs which Mrs Shearer-Cox is now teaching to the other Music classes too. Ask your child about Bananas in the Sky!

All classes have completed their Portfolio tasks for this term and should be very proud of themselves. Students are composing (creating), practicing, and performing their own simple 4-beat rhythms.  We are learning to play our rhythms as individuals and in groups.  We have used voice, body percussion (usually clapping), as well as percussive instruments to play our rhythms. We may have budding composers and performers in Prep, Grade 1, and Grade 2.
