Art showcase ~ Utopia.
Our second Art showcase was a tremendous success and has provided such interest and joy for all; both the creators and the viewers. Many of the staff, have commented how lovely it was to learn what various student’s sense of Utopia is. Isn’t it wonderful, how Art can help people connect on such different levels, regardless of age and background?!
We are very proud of all the entrants and appreciate the efforts that they went to, in creating their artworks.

Our corridors are currently filled with artwork, and we absolutely love it! How lucky we are to be surrounded by such beauty and creativity.
Our junior students have been experimenting with mixing colours and shades, as they begin the process of creating an animal collage. We look forward to seeing how our students transform the basic shape of a heart, into a spikey echidna over the coming weeks!
Our middle and senior students have begun looking at the works of contemporary Canadian artist Sandra Silberwiegz. They are genuinely enjoying the creation process of their portraits and it has been delightful to hear the upbeat conversations, as they describe their designs to each other, as they work independently at the tables.
Please enjoy a selection of the stunning painted collage birds, which our students in Grades 3 to 6 recently completed. We are incredibly proud of the persistence the students have demonstrated and think that their birds look spectacular!
Take care everyone,
Miss Peldy and Mrs S
