SLA

Last week the Grade 5 students were invited to attend a production of "Mary Poppins" performed by students from Santa Maria and Parade College. It was an exciting opportunity for many of them, marking their first experience of such a theatrical event. Filled with anticipation, they watched eagerly as students from both secondary schools transformed into characters from the beloved story. The excitement hit its highest point during the performance of popular song "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious," as everyone, including the SJW students, eagerly joined in. Witnessing the joy on their faces as they sang along added a special sense of connection and involvement to the experience, making it a memorable event for all involved.

Over the last few weeks SLA have been further developing their mental and written problem-solving strategies for addition and subtraction. Students have engaged in various hands-on activities and interactive lessons to enhance their skills and build confidence. They have done really well, reflecting a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts.
