Happy Catholic Schools Week 2024: Pray with Hope

Over last Thursday, Friday whilst I was in Armidale at the Principal's Meeting and the weekend I have been reflecting on Catholic Schools Week and the 2024 theme "Pray with Hope." I have been involved with Catholic Education for over 30 years and still have the commitment and passion for educating young people so they may "have life and have it to the full."

As I work with students, staff and families I am always in awe of the  concern, connection and commitment that everyone shows to the people that they care for. I notice this everyday when:

...I walk into classrooms and see teachers working hard to help their students understand what they are learning

...I see students excited to talk about their learning and how they are going with it

...I see students (supported by their families) get involved in extra curricular activities such as sport, academic challenges, socials, special events such as Jump Rope this week

...I see our families coming into the school to be part of their children's learning

...I see parents contributing to the running of the school through the P and F, the Advisory Council and through the financial commitment of paying fees

...I see staff going the extra mile for our students so they feel valued, respected and cared for.

...I see this when we make a mistake or don't do things as well as we could that we try and learn from the situation

As principal of HTS, I will continue to endeavour to create a school where all members of the community feel safe, feel valued, respected and cared for. We are all learners on this journey and we "pray with hope" that together we can all have life and live it to the full.

Family Survey Year 11 and 12 at HTS

The Armidale Catholic Schools Office (ACSO), with the approval of the Armidale Catholic Schools Board, is currently engaged in a project to determine the viability of an expansion of Holy Trinity Catholic School, Inverell, to Years 11 and 12, with view to the school being a full Kindergarten to Year 12 school.

As part of this data gathering we are asking parents to express their views on a potential expansion. This data will be utilised as part the discernment process to determine the viability of this proposal.

The survey will be sent via email through COMPASS. We ask that you spend a few minutes answering this short survey.

There are only a few questions, with a space at the end to make any comments you wish for the the ACSO to consider or think about in relation to this project.

Please complete this survey as soon as possible and no later than Sunday 2 June.

Looking forward to...

Seeing our families at our CSW picnic on Wednesday on the Front Lawn... bring a chair or picnic rug and a picnic lunch to share with your child/children and other families to celebrate being part of our school community and Catholic education.

Open Day for HTS

Please spread the word about enrolling for 2025. Do you know  a child who is ready for Kindergarten in 2025 or a student who you know might benefit from being part of our community in other years? Please remind them of our open day next Tuesday.
