Our Grade 3/4 students had a fantastic day participating in the Grade 3/4 Footy Day last THURSDAY 23rd May at Macleay Park,North Balwyn. The weather was perfect. It was a fun and inclusive day. Thanks to the parents who came along to watch and to Rod C for umpiring a couple of the games.
"It was a new adventure for some of the children who have competed in this day once and it was a great experience for the Grade 3’s and some of the new students. We were all cheering for the boys team and in the end they played a great game and won the grand final. We enjoyed all our games and we had lots of fun with our teammates and especially all goals scored. We were proud to represent our school, OHR, when we beat the other schools and when we didn't"

On Monday 27th May 6 students from OHR competed in Division Cross Country.
This was held at Ruffey Lake Park from 10 am - 11 am. It was a beautiful day with sunny weather and perfect conditions for running.
The students that represented OHR were
Emily B who came 45
Hailey W who came 44
James B who came 39
Henry C who came 32
Jacob Y who came 27
Art T who came 26.
These students all had to run and finish top 15 at District Cross Country to qualify into the Division event. The distances were 2km and 3km.
All students did an amazing job and we're all very proud of them.

"Pilates is a movement practice that emphasises the mind-body connection, as it brings awareness to the present moment and meets the body where it is. Meditation will help our mind and body stay grounded, awake, and focused"
Over the next 2 weeks I am are incorporating Pilates and Meditation into our P-6 HPE classes.
We have class mats (thanks to the PFA a few years back)
The students are more than welcome to B.Y.O mats on their P.E day.
Please make sure if they do they are clearly named.
Both practices emphasise the mind-body connection, as they require control, focus, and attention.
