Our Level 4 students participated in this week's Reconciliation Week walk, joining many other community groups to celebrate our cultural differences and diversity. The walk commenced with a smoking ceremony at Alton Reserve, setting a reflective and respectful tone for the day's events. Participants then made their way through the main street and the port area, creating a vibrant and colourful display of unity. The walk concluded at Hopwood Garden, where the celebration continued with a flag-raising ceremony. This event was a powerful reminder of the importance of reconciliation and the value of embracing our diverse cultural heritage. Our students returned with a deeper understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity, inspired by the day's activities. We are proud of their participation and the positive impact it has on fostering a more inclusive community. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this meaningful event. It has also been wonderful to see the conversations and activities happening throughout the school to reflect the importance of Reconciliation Week. These discussions and events emphasized the significance of unity and understanding in our diverse community.
Our Level 4 students participated in the local Netball Tournament today. With the sun shining bright for most of the day, the kids had a fabulous time showcasing their skills and teamwork on the court. The tournament was a wonderful opportunity for our students to engage in healthy competition, make new friends, and strengthen their love for the game. Their enthusiasm and sportsmanship were evident throughout the day, making us all very proud. Congratulations to all our young athletes for their hard work and dedication. A special thank you to the coaches, parents, and supporters who cheered them on and contributed to making the event a success.
Well done to all!
