Farewelling our Vice Principal
Congratulations to College Vice Principal, Tim Russell, who has been appointed Principal of John Wollaston Anglican Community School (JWACS) from the commencement of 2025.
Tim joined All Saints’ College in 2015, as Head of Service Learning before becoming Dean of Student Wellbeing and, from 2023, Vice Principal.
“Tim’s leadership in all roles he has fulfilled at ASC has been characterised by a tireless dedication and a deep sense of care for all individuals,” said Principal, Belinda Provis.
“I have very much appreciated and enjoyed his professionalism, insight, wisdom and good humour, and know he will lead his new community with his trademark humility and with a strong and compelling vision for JWACS.”
Tim is the sixth member of All Saints’ Leadership Team to be appointed Principal or CEO in the past six years, highlighting the quality of staff ASC attracts and the high regard in which ASC personnel are held in the wider community.
Congratulations, Tim, from all of us!
ASC Laced Up for a Good Cause
For the first time since 2020, All Saints’ College entered a team in the HBF Run for a Reason. It was great to see the community getting behind the event with over 25 runners, including Junior and Senior School students, parents, teachers and Old Saints all representing the College. The event is a great way to raise much-needed funds for our service partners and a number of charities, whilst encouraging physical activity, fitness and wellbeing.
Inspiring Workshop with Tori Longdon
On Monday 13 May, our Year 7–10 choir students had the privilege of participating in a two-hour choral workshop led by Tori Longdon. Tori, from the UK, is the Principal Conductor of the Covent Garden Opera Chorus and Assistant Conductor of the National Youth Training Choir. She is best known for coaching the choirs for the Coronation of King Charles III at Westminster Abbey in May 2023. Our students were incredibly lucky to experience such an uplifting morning filled with music and singing. No doubt they were left feeling inspired and fortunate at this amazing opportunity.
IDAHOBIT Day
Students of ASC celebrated diversity, respect and inclusion on IDAHOBIT Day!
Colourful socks and rainbow accessories were worn by students to raise awareness of LGBTQIA+ rights and challenge discrimination across the globe. Students and staff added their handprints to a progress pride flag in a variety of colours, with black and brown handprints incorporated to recognise our Indigenous community.
The day raised awareness for Minus18 which aims to create an Australia where all young people are safe, empowered and surrounded by people that support them.
Congratulations to Scholarship Winner Mrs Saunders!
Congratulations to Acting Head of English Mrs Natasha Saunders on being awarded a scholarship to attend the Australian Association for the Teaching of English (AATE)/ Australian Literacy Educators' Association (ALEA) National Conference! The conference theme is inspired by Kirli Saunders' poem 'New Chapter', and the theme looks towards the future with hope and optimism. The Australian Association for the Teaching of English and Australian Literacy Educators' Association National Conference will be held in Adelaide during the July school holidays.
