PRINCIPAL REPORT

As we move toward the end of Term 4, there is a real sense of excitement and anticipation across our school community. Our Year 12 students are currently sitting their final exams, and we wish them every success as they complete this important milestone. In the lead-up to exams, students enjoyed a series of fun end-of-year activities, including themed dress-up days, which brought plenty of laughter and school spirit. These celebrations were a wonderful way to mark the end of their secondary schooling journey.
It’s hard to believe that the 2026 academic year is just around the corner. Over the coming weeks, families can play an important role in motivating students to finish strong with their final assessments and prepare for the transition to their next year level. Your support at home makes a big difference in helping students stay focused and confident.
On our recent student-free day, staff continued their work on implementing the new Victorian Curriculum and refining our Teaching Model 2.0. This professional learning is complemented by our engagement with the Department of Education’s Positive Classroom Management strategies. These initiatives are shaping how we set up classroom routines and architecture to create environments that support learning and wellbeing.
While the start of our Science and Design renovations has been delayed, we are meeting regularly with builders, and works are scheduled to commence on 1 December, with the bottom carpark and impacted classrooms being handed over. The project is expected to continue through Term 4, 2026, and we look forward to the incredible learning spaces this will provide.
As the season changes, we have noticed an increase in uniform breaches. Common issues include non-school items worn under dresses, short dress lengths, hair colour outside policy, and shoes that are not polishable school shoes. We ask for your support in ensuring students adhere to the uniform policy so that we maintain high standards across the school.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership and commitment to our students’ success. Together, we can ensure a positive finish to the year and a strong start to 2026.
