St Anthony's Remembrance Wall for Month of November
🕊️ A Season of Remembrance
November is a sacred time in our Church calendar, a month dedicated to remembering and praying for those who have gone before us. It’s a time to visit cemeteries, light candles, and hold close the memory of loved ones. It’s also a moment to pause, reflect on our own lives, grow in holiness, and place our trust in God’s mercy.
🌿 Why do we pray for the Holy Souls? Because love doesn’t end with death. Just as we care for one another in life, we continue to care through prayer. By offering our prayers, sacrifices, and Masses for the faithful departed, we help them draw nearer to the joy of heaven. It’s a beautiful act of mercy, hope, and communion.
❤️ Wall of Remembrance Thank you to everyone who has returned a heart for our remembrance display. If you haven’t yet, there’s still time. Additional hearts are available at the drop-off point near the school office.

🌱 Discoveries Beneath the Weeds: Lessons from the Playgroup Garden Club
This week, our Playgroup Gardening Club rolled up their sleeves and got to work pulling up the weeds in our raised garden beds. What began as a tidy-up turned into a delightful adventure! As the weeds gave way, we uncovered a bustling ecosystem teeming with life. Earthworms wriggling, beetles scuttling, and tiny snails nestled in the soil. It was a beautiful reminder that even beneath what we often see as "mess," life is thriving.
This discovery sparked a meaningful reflection for me. As the parable in Matthews gospel explains, in both life and faith, weeds often grow alongside flowers. Just as our garden beds held both unwanted weeds and hidden treasures, our communities, and indeed even our church, can hold both brokenness and beauty. We are reminded of how Jesus continued to love and teach even with Judas among the disciples. What does this mean for our faith? We don’t stop believing in Jesus because of Judas, just like we don’t stop gardening because of weeds. Instead, we keep nurturing, keep tending, and keep believing that goodness grows, even in unexpected places. Here's to more discoveries, more digging, and more grace in the garden and beyond. 🌼
