Spotlight on Digger and Tim  - Many of you will know Digger and Tim with their involvement with Mullum Dads and their volunteer work at many school events.

Trivia Night (this Saturday 11 October - buy your tickets at the office!)

Digger and Tim both have experience planning and running trivia nights and have kindly volunteered to run this years Trivia Night.  For several months they have been busy planning the trivia questions and the games for the evening. 

Since the first meeting in May with the PA Trivia Committee, their help and guidance with the tasks that needed to be completed has been key in ensuring a well prepared event.  

Mullum Dads

Digger and Tim, along with Jon and Mads, are key representatives of the Mullum FAFFS (Father and Father Figures) Group. With the group's tagline "Let's create Stronger School Communities"  and their objective to support dads, step-dads, grandads and father figures in building stronger connections with their kids and the school community, Digger and Tim have been involved in planning and running interesting events for FAFFS and children to enjoy,  with the Drones evening in Lilydale and Books and Breakfast to name two. 

Thank you Digger and Tim for the work you do with Mullum FAFFS and all the behind the scenes work for this weekend's Trivia Night.

How to get involved

Trivia night - we are looking for volunteers to help before, during and after the event.  All tasks would be allocated around trivia rounds so that no one misses out on a fun evening.  Email: mullumparentsassociation@gmail.com if you can assist.

Foodbank - with a great array of staples, fruit and many a time vegetables from the School Garden, all are invited to drop by the trolley and take home food that your family will enjoy.

Volunteer - Volunteering at school events, excursions etc... is a great way to strengthen connections with the school and other parents while enjoying what your child is doing that day.  Opportunities to volunteer are posted on Compass.

 PA MEETINGS

Wednesday 15 October is our last PA meeting before the AGM.

Annual General Meeting - 18 November 2025

With the AGM just around the corner, members can cast their vote for the President, Secretary and Treasurer.  That evening the new President will lead discussions of events and fundraisers for 2026 plus the goals for that year.  If you have ideas for Mullum or want to support the goals the PA sets for 2026, join the PA on the night of the AGM and have your say.

CHOCOLATE DRIVE

Thank you to all the families that purchased a box of chocolates or lollies. For those who missed out ordering your chocolate or lolly box, there may be an opportunity to order before Christmas.  Details to come.

TRIVIA NIGHT - Saturday 11 October

Tables are selling fast for the Trivia Night.  With over $9000 worth of donations from the local community, it will be a night not to be missed.  Book a whole table, or just a seat or two.  All are welcome.  Please check out the designated page in this newsletter for more information.

PAINT 'N' SIP - Thursday 23 October (previously 18 Sept)

Come join us for a fun night of painting, sipping and chatting with the wonderful Deanne Lawn on Thursday 23 October. No experience needed, just bring yourself, something to drink and enjoy. Tickets $40 at the school office.
