Principal Address

Dear Parents,

I hope you have had a great week.

Today we celebrate World Teachers Day and as a community say thank you to our awesome staff. Teaching is not an easy job, it takes dedication, patience, creativity, and a deep sense of purpose. Our teachers turn up every day bringing their best, because they love to teach and they love making a difference in the lives of your children. Teaching is not a job you can fake, you have to really love it and be passionate about helping children grow to be all they can be.

Everyday, our teachers manage classrooms filled with students who each have their own unique strengths, challenges, personalities and backgrounds. They are problem solvers, fixers, educators, life coaches, assessors, managers, uniform finders and everything else in between. All the time being motivated by a deep sense of calling.

I think the most special thing is that at our school, our staff really see teaching as a ministry, a calling, and an act of service. Over the past three and a half years, I have the privilege of witnessing first hand how our teachers pour their hearts into their work. What stands out most is their genuine love for the students. While it might seem obvious for all teachers everywhere to do this, our school has something special, there is a genuine culture of connection, compassion and deep commitment to your kids that is beautiful and rare.

Even this week as Miss Thomas produced a wonderful video with our Year 6’s, nearly every student wanted to be involved in some way and say something nice about their teachers; which I thought was really beautiful and says something about how our teachers help our students feel safe and happy at school.

Thank you to our amazing teachers, you are a blessing!

Parent Prayer Meeting

Next Friday after Chapel our parents prayer group will be happening led by Josh and Mel Fattal, everyone is welcome.

Markets

Just a reminder that the whole property spring markets are coming up in three weeks. It will be a great time of fun and community. The winter ones were great, it would be great to see all of you there with your families.

My door is always open,
