Year 6 

Hair, Makeup, Costumes & Dress Rehearsal: 

Year 6 Hair and Makeup

On Wednesday 24th June (Week 9), Year 6 students are asked to come to school with their hair and makeup completed for the musical. On this day, students will participate in both the dress rehearsal and the official photo shoot for the production. Aside from the performances themselves, this will be the only occasion where students are required to have their hair and makeup done. Please see the requirements below:

Makeup Requirements

Boys: A light layer of powder is requested to help reduce shine under the stage lights.

Girls: A light application of powder is requested, with optional mascara and blush. This helps prevent students’ faces from appearing washed out under the stage lighting.

Hair Requirements

Girls:

• Yasmin, Grace, Ariana and Charlotte: Two low ponytails or two low braids/plaits.
• Sienna V, Coco and Cadence: One low ponytail or one low braid/plait.

• Sienna B: A low bun (either a classic bun or braided bun)

   

Boys: 

Hair may be styled as normal. Students are welcome to use a small amount of gel to help keep hair neat and in place.

• Josh: A windswept, cowboy-inspired hairstyle is preferred. Using mousse or styling product may help achieve this look.

Year 6 Dress Rehearsals

There will be 3 separate dress rehearsals as follows:

• Wednesday 24th June (Week 9) - Whole school dress rehearsal and photo shoot in the PAC - full costume, arrive at school with hair and make-up done.
• Tuesday 30th June - Year 6 dress rehearsal at Futures Church - costumes only

• Wednesday 1st July - Whole school dress rehearsal at Futures Church - costumes only

   

All Year 6 students will travel by bus to Futures Church and parent consent will be required for both days. Please see the Compass Events notification that you will receive to give your consent for your child to attend and for further information regarding what your child needs to wear and bring.

Year 6 Costumes

Please see below, the costumes you will need to source from home. The school will be providing some parts of the costumes and accessories. 

Costumes are required at school in a named plastic bag by Tuesday 10th June, Week 7. Please also name all costume items.
