Pathways - Senior Girls

Athletics Carnivals

Many of our Pathways schools have held their 2026 Athletics carnivals in the first few weeks of Term 2. We have seen our students from Camberwell Girls Grammar School, St Leonard’s College, Methodist Ladies College (MLC), Star of the Sea College and Firbank Grammar School compete against their peers in many track and field events. Students from years 9 to 12 have attended these days dressed in their house colours, as well as costumes related to a theme to celebrate their final year of schooling.

We had student return with success as they placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in events such as:

  • 100 m sprint
  • Relay
  • Shot put
  • 200 m, 400 m and 800 m races
  • Long jump

It is great to hear the excitement as students return from these events and show their spirit for their school house groups and the pride in their achievements.

Term 2 School Sport

As we are reaching the halfway mark of Term 2, many of our students are well into the rounds of their school sports. We have many students from all our school participating in the below sports:

  • Football
  • Basketball
  • Soccer
  • Netball

The commitment and dedication shown by the students, as well as the students being apart of their school community to come together and play a sport the whole team loves is outstanding.

School events/in the classroom

As the students progress through Term 2, we have seen students create gourmet pastries in Food Technology classes, artworks created, English writing pieces written with pride and sentiment and smiles from ear to ear with grades being given to show that their hard work has paid off.

Rosie NT talent league

On Saturday the 2nd of May, Rosie Wilson (Year 12), returned to Darwin to join the U18’s Cazalys NT Talent Academy team to play against the Bendigo Pioneers at TIO Stadium. This gave Rosie the opportunity to showcase both their skill and determination against a strong interstate opponent.

The match provided valuable experience for the NT players against high-level opposition. Competing in front of a home crowd was another important milestone, reinforcing the pathway opportunities available through the Talent Academy.

Overall, the performance reflected the group’s commitment, improvement, and strong team culture, and we can wait to continue to cheer Rosie on as the season progresses.
